The beauty of art is that it's subjective. There's no definition and there are no rules. We'll throw a bucket of paint at a photograph if that's what it takes.
We shoot on the streets, in stranger's homes, when their backs are turned :) and in the studio and we create digital images from scratch and use AI synthography and a plethora of other tools to feed your imagination.
The devil is in the detail, so we're carefully building a significant curated collection of free images and art assets for you to use in your personal and commercial creative projects.

While working on our site recently I had a flashback to the bad old days when free or at least affordable original images were extremely hard to find.
When I came back to earth I realised that they still are, at least for those who haven't stumbled on Art Gratis yet - Said the green eyed monster :)
Ok! enough cliches, but you get my drift. Oops! Sorry, shoot me now. Arrgh, stop it!
All images onsite are free except those in our shop which are priced so low, you may feel embarrassed when purchasing. Apparently, after checkout, many of our clients switch off their device and go to a dark corner and cry. At first we thought it was a joy thing, but it appears to be a reaction to an overwhelming sense of guilt!
By the way, thank you all for your cards and well wishes for Art Gratis. We've just arrived at the office and can barely get in the door, thanks to your letters of support. Wait! Hang on a minute, wtf, these are all bills! Anyway, for those of you who've purchased our ridiculously inexpensive premium images or plan to, we understand you may be drowning in that aforementioned guilt, so we've racked our brains and come up with a novel solution to ease your pain. Simply buy more! Because by feeding the beast you help us expand our free galleries and you feed us too! See, now you feel all warm and fuzzy :)
